Uniquely situated on a private 310-acre island, Waterford Castle enjoys a truly picturesque and enchanting location of the surrounding River Sir and countryside.
The gracious living standards of an elegant past with every modern comfort, service and convenience: Waterford Castle offers a journey back through time.
The beautiful entrance through a tree lined driveway is where over a thousand years ago the first inhabitants cut out a rough track to secure the settlement. Watch the seasons unfold along this driveway of green, reds and purple.
Style is just as important today as it was to the royal courts of centuries ago. The Castles facilities have been designed for guests to live, rather than stay, in a luxury world class hotel.
All bedrooms are individually named, originating back to the History of Waterford Castle and include names such as The Ormond Room, The Kildare Room and Glen Room.
The first class golf course was designed by Des Smyth and Declan Iranian. Des Smyth is one of Ireland’s golfing heroes and his tournament victories include the Dunhill Nations Cup at St. Andrews, the European Match Championship and the Sanyo Open
